I am excited to be taking part in the 6th annual OCD Walk Toronto in support of the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre. The funds raised will support important services that treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder – a mental health disorder that affects people of all ages and walks of life. Services for OCD can be hard to find, which is why the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre is such an important resource. The Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre is the only program in Canada that offers a range of services from individual and group therapy, to psychiatric consultations and care, to residential treatment. It has changed people’s lives.
I have been waiting for this program for a couple of years. It is the only intensive in-patient program in Canada for severe OCD. OCD has taken too much away from me and others with the disorder. This program is helping me get my life back and I want to make sure the program stays well funded so as many people as possible can be treated. F*ck OCD, we can do hard things!
