Having OCD since the age of 16 has permitted me to see life through a different lens. Our "beautiful minds" allow us to be the compassionate people we are while trying to be courageous when faced with our obsessional fears. During this annual Sunnybrook OCD walk, we are able to bring light on this anxiety disorder that impacts many people, some more severely than others. This walk creates a sense of community and love which I hope many people can experience first hand.

I am someone who is always walking and talking in support of others. Last year’s OCD Walk was the first time I ever did a walk just for me. It wasn’t easy putting myself out there, but I am glad I found the courage. The feeling you experience being around other people with lived experience is indescribable. I am hopeful that as the years go by, the OCD Walk becomes more popular so others can feel as included as I did.
